MAGKOU FOUNTAIN

Magkous Fountain was built in 1857 and is now a seasonal fount which the water flows during the winter months.

An interpretation of the origin of the name of the fount, according to the locals, states that the water was so cold that when you drank it, your mouth got stuck (magkone).
